He is making a point. It isn't good enough to just not do those things, one must do positive things. Don't just not steal; sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor (Mark 10:21). He didn't mention the others because they were not relevant to what he was talking about.

The commandment that was not spoken of is the fourth the seventh day sabbath, you see sunday worship which NO WHERE in the bible is said to do that is a tridition of man and came from the pope, that is the papcy not the bible, you can not keep a day holy unless God Himself made it holy and the reason That Jesus did not say anything is that at that time the folks made such a big deal of making there own laws about the sabbath that instead of being something nice it was a burdon, you could not even carry a hanky on the sabbath so they sewed it onto clothing, Jesus got into more trouble in doing things on the Sabbath then ANY other reason, there was a telephone book of extry laws people tacked onto the sabbath that made it what God did not intend so Jesus came to put it streight, free bible lessons find out more www.itiswritten.com bible questions www.bibleinfo.com talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

not bringing up the others does not mean He rejected them
often the bible brings up a reduced summary of events or things for purpose of focus.
In this case Jesus was talking to a rich young man who thought pretty highly of himself - too highly. These would be commandments a rich man might be able to superficially keep on a shallow level, thinking himself to be good, but really falling short of God's requirement for goodness. He thought he kept the commandments but seemed to have a gnawing doubt that he really didn't have eternal life - and didnt know why. Jesus focused on the young man having a hangup on materialism.. a violation of the commandments Jesus did not bring up
The man was actually breaking the first commandment by putting his materialism ahead of following God. Thou Shall have no god's before me, for example The man was hooked on the idol of materialism and never knew it and only superficially kept the commandments and didn't realize his need of grace because he though himself a good guy

Just for your information there are a total of 613 commandments. Jesus (being a Jew and knowing all the laws) was just citing a few of the major ones, just to jog the dudes memory.
also remember
Matthew 5:19
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
this least commandment is:
Deuteronomy 22:6-7
6If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:
7But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.
unless you find another commandment that is more trivial than this one appears to be

Just because he didn't mention all of them in this one sentence doesn't mean he rejected the ones he didn't mention.
Or are you suggesting that Jesus has given his OK to worshiping idols, false gods, blaspheming God's name and overturning his Sabbaths? The Apostles and other NT writers neither did nor teach that.

Because he was talking to unbelieving-logical thinking Pharisee's/ bible scholars of that day. He didn't have to repeat all the commandments because he knew they already knew them. They thought they could logically obey the Ten Commandments and go to heaven. However, Jesus is the only answer to mans inability to obey all the commandments (but only to them that believe).

No Jesus didn't reject any of them, because the first one would of been the most important....Thou shalt have no other Gods before me. And Jesus did ask, Thou knowest the commandments, and then he just named six of them.

The 10 commandments are for the Israelites not Christian. Everything except the Sabbath is within Christian rules though.

One reasons could be that he chose not to. It may not have been necessary. The man got the point.
Being a jew he would know them all.
