Sticking to a consistent schedule (even on the weekends!) will help a lot. Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, and your body will learn how long it is allowed to sleep.

There are a couple of other things you can try, too. Is it super dark in your room? Put a light on a timer so that it turns on about the time you should be waking up. Having some light on will help your body understand that it is daytime and that now it's time to get up.

You could also try using an alarm clock that will wake you up to the radio or a CD. Tune it to your favorite station or pick a CD that has upbeat music, and that could also help wake you up. (You can set a "normal" beeping alarm as a backup, too.)

First off, if you aren't hearing the alarm clock, it may be because you aren't sleeping enough. You may need more sleep. Between 8-9 hours is ideal. I know that may sound like alot, but it's true.

Also, if you are getting enough but you still do not hear it, buy a new clock. You can get one that plays the radio or a CD or even an ipod or other MP3 player. You can get one that you can set to wake you up at one hour and then it will buzz again at another one set to the radio. Timex has some good ones. Go to their site. Also, if you have a very good reliable friend or even parent. Get them to call you each morning at the LATEST time that you could be awake.

Hope this helps!

3 thoughts: a million. do not snooze!!! slumbering is basically training your self to no longer get up at the same time as your alarm is going off. 2. you're turning it off, so it truly is waking you up. you're only going decrease back to sleep with out delay. positioned your alarm clock remote out of your mattress so that you may want to face as a lot as tutor it off. 3. make confident you bypass to mattress and get up about an identical time on a daily basis, even on weekends. this can prepare your body to face up at particular cases. you'll see a marked vast difference in some weeks. good luck!

Try changing your alarm clock so the sound it makes is different. Maybe you don't hear it because your so used to the sound that it doesn't wake you up..
