Try http://www.tartans.scotland.net/ , "the definitive guide to Tartans on the web". But Morton is a family (sept) of Clan Douglas, so I think it's the Douglas clan tartans that you should search for. If you search for "Morton" in the tartan search, you will only find "Little of Morton Rig", and that is not the Morton family of the Douglas Clan. But if you search for "Morton" in search index "Septs", you will get one hit, and that is "Douglas Black", http://www.tartans.scotland.net/tartan_info.cfm?tartan_id=35

Since it sounds like you have been researching your family, You might want to research the Tartan, or use of Tartans, Not all families have one, some families use the tartan or a clan that they are associated with. I would suggest that your review Wikipedia - Irish Tartans or the Linda Clifford site, she is an a merchant that dealt with actual Irish and Scot tartans.
