Maybe a vanilla-ish, tan-ish color. Or even a light yellow.

I have to disagree with the answers above. Both yellow and orange would have the opposite effect and make the walls even more pink in contrast. I would not focus on the rug. I would do one of two things. Either mix another color paint with water and rub or paint a light wash over the color you painted. Or....lighting would be your best option to change the color of a paint. Get a small boutique type lamp and put an amber light bulb in it. The orangeness in the bulb will wash the wall with light and make it appear less pink. Lastly....pink can be worked with. The compliment of pink is green....bring some greens into the room and just work with what you have.

The more stuff you have on the walls, the less you will notice the actual wall color. Forget about the orange and red! Cool it down a little with some sage green, towels and rugs, maybe. I like a garden-themed bathroom, with a few matted pictures of herbs that some would put in the kitchen, such as lavender and rosemary. Both, and others, are also used in beauty treatments and such. It sounds like it could be a lovely room, just work with it! If you just can't get used to it, you could sponge over the walls, with perhaps a cream color, to lighten it up.

Try to take the focus off the "pinky" tones with some cool blue or green accessories. Perhaps use a multi-colored pastel shower curtain with coordinated towels. Beige or white or pale green or blue rugs, etc.
You can get a white glaze to go over that color.
However, I think you should live with it for a time because sometimes you think a color is too much and then gradually you begin to like the color more and more.

No, don't put red in there. It will bring out the pink. You could find a border to put up that has different colors in it as well as the wall color. Then pick out a color from the border and get rugs and shower curtain and decorations to match that color.

i would suggest a chocolate brown rug to draw the attention away from the peach coloured walls. If that still doesn't work to your liking try repainting the bathroom or adding some pinstriped things. example a colourful lamp with a fun and edgy Mirror should go well together and always remember : if it does work you can always return it!!!!!

depends on the size of your bathroom,
if you have a larger one you might want to have a darker peach with not much pink in it, but if your bathroom is a smaller one you might want to try a tad littler peach, again with not much pink in it.

the two of them may well be super, yet be careful the deep colors can overpower a small room. for my section i might opt for a curtain with white for the history and color of decision for the layout.
