My girlfriend of one month and I have been having amazing dates and last night we had a date scheduled. I was possibly going to be meeting her sister depending on how her day went and I had said I would pick up my gf at 6 since we would be eating dinner at around 7. I showed up at 6, and waitied until 6:15, but she wasn't home, I called her and left a message hoping everything was ok and to give me a call. After hanging up the phone, I thought that maybe I had misunderstood and that I was supposed to pick her up at 7. So, I showed up at 7 and she was home, I rang the doorbell and no answer. So I called and she said what was happening and I said I was here and she said why? I said we were meeitng for dinner and she said she just got out of the shower and would let me in while she got ready. She looked very irritated and said she planned on calling me when she was ready. The rest of the night she was incredibly distant and there was no affection like there was before.

So. She looked upset and the rest of the evening she was incredibly distant and for the rest of the night I tried brightening the mood to no avail. At the end of the night she said I showed little confidence tonight unlike during the rest of the dates and she cancelled our plans for this afternoon. I've screwed up so badly. HSe doesn't want t break up but I want to makes things better, what should I do. Is it too late to make things better? Help me please.....I want things back to the way they used to be...

It doesn't sound like you did anything wrong that you need to make up for it. It sounds like she's the one who needs to make up for it.

The best solution would be to sit down with her, rehearse the events and ask her what effected her so. If you want the answer you need to ask the question. Otherwise it is anybodies guess and would be speculation. Since you want to know the real reason you need to go to the source. Communication and honesty are the foundation of any good relationship[p. This would be a good time to find out if these qualities are present in this relationship. This will be proof if you can trust her to be open and honest. If not, you may be investing your time and heart for heartbreak and disappointment. If you are not satisfied with her answer keep asking until you are clear.Perhaps there was a misunderstanding.

First of all,you did'nt do ANYTHING wrong!. Everything went accordingly to plan, but for some reason, your girlfriend "Froze". I don't want to say anything wrong, but for some reason,I'm thinking your girlfriend had a previous engagement. She seems nervous,(but) she's also pretending she forgot about the date you had with her! (?). In so many words,it looks like she's trying to end the relationship, but does'nt have the nerve to tell you.
Tell her it's time for a "Heart to heart" talk. Her being distant,is doing nothing but making it harder for her to say what's on her mind, and keeping you in suspense. (I hope everything works out ok).

Get rid of her. You've only been dating for a month. I hope you're not thinking you're head over heels for this girl. She does not appreciate what a wonderful guy you are. There are so many girls out there alone and would love to be able to meet a guy like you. Look for someone who will value you.
