Air conditioning. One of our cats (the one in my avatar photo today) loves to ride in the car but complains if the windows are open above about 35mph, and complains again if I don't turn on the AC when the temps are above 80 or so. Shut the windows, turn on the AC, and she's one happy camper.

My cats seem to like the heat - the hotter the better. They DO need to be able to get to shade and water, however.

They mainly sleep. But if it's really hot, take their water dish, empty it out, throw a few ice cubes in there, then fill it back up with cold water. Cats definitely prefer ice cold water. My babies love it!
