Ritalin was prescribed to my nephew about 11 years ago. I refused to let his grandma give it to him. I am glad I did. I never accepted nor will I accept any pills! SO anyway, my new landlord told me about how her son took it a few years ago and how it affected his stomach. It was not good and the ritalin did not really do a heck of a lot for him. Your a.d.d. should decrease over time.

It depends on the dosage and time between doses. If the two doses were taken within an hour or two of one another and the dose you are on is significant, the effects could include upset stomach, a feeling of nervousness, difficulty falling asleep, loss in appetite, and increase in blood pressure. You should be fine; however, if you begin to feel light-headed, have feelings of a rapid heart-rate or severe headache, you should go to the emergency room to be examined. Good luck to you and be more careful next time.
