there is a guy that i have been spending a lot of time with and ive started to really fall for him and he acted like he liked me too. so i finally got the guts to tell him and i asked him about how he felt and all he said was "its up in the air...but idk...sorry." im not really sure what this means. does he like me or not? he has continued to talk to me just as much and act the same way so nothing has changed since i told him

In other words he is not in a position to commit. You know actions speak louder than words. Sometimes we want the assurance to know if our investment is going to pay off. Your question sort of put him in a corner and perhaps he hasn't the time or experience with you to decide if this is a good thing. You know about the honeymoon period in any relationship and how both are on their best behavior? Well, are you careful about the image you portray or do you just "let it all hang out?" Next question, "Is he still perfect" or have you noticed some flaws. At first we think that somehow they are perfect. They do everything right and nothing they do bothers you. As the newness and infatuation begins to wear off we begin noticing little things here and there. This is how the love of someones life end up in divorce court. think about other relationships you have had. You may be asking him something he doesn't have the answer to yet. Up in the air sounds like wait and see. Let the relationship develop naturally. When all the pretense and acting had faded away both of you will be in a better position to decide if each possesses the qualities desired. Relax if you can. that means that he needs some time(but what it means to me is that he likes you he just cant tell you how he feels about you so give him a while and im sure he'll get enough nerve to tell you)(with men it takes the perfect moment)(they want it to be the "walk to remember")

Honestly, it just sounds like he is trying to string you along until something better comes along. Ditch him, its not worth the emotional distress, besides, there really are plenty of fish in the sea!!

He does like you...but he also likes someone else and is trying to get with them too. So it's 'up in the air'...if other girl says yes, he will dump you...if other girl says no..he will go out with you.

maybe he is waiting for something else to fall through...He knows, he probably thinks you might be okay, but not good enough overall but he knows he has a fall back crutch to lean on now...I would have not taken that answer, its yes or no, not maybe someday I dont know, I guess...
