Since your eye lids are so red and swollen you might even have an eye infection, which requires you to go to a doctor for medication. Anyways try this first. Wash your face with your clean hands, just splash water on your face and your eyes for a few minutes warm to cold water see which feels best. No makeup please. Or creams and lotions near eyes. Ok, now go lie down and bring with you bowl of cool water and a washcloth. Then dip washcloth in cool water, squeeze out most of the water, and fold it in half and put it on your eyes, try that for about 6 to 8 hours, today, and no more crying please!!!!

After the washcloth is dry or warm, just put it in the cool water in a bowl next to you and keep doing that, or have someone do it for you if they are willing. This should calm your eyes and reduce redness and puffiness. See, there is salt in tears, and you can easily burn your skin with the salt if you cry too much, that is how it becomes red and puffy. But in your case you could even have an eye infection, in both eyes.

Ok so after the 6 hoursof keeping your eyes cool with the constantly wet washcloth, have a look at your eyes, are they better? If so you will know that this procedure helped. But you could try more things to relieve the swelling and puffiness: normal tea bags. Just wet the tea bags in warm water and put them on your closed eyes, this should do wonders for your eyes. You can use chamomile tea bags if you wish, but normal tea bags will do the trick as well.

So just do this today and tomorrow and see what it looks like Monday morning, if there is any puss, or more swelling, you have an infection that needs to be taken care of by a doctor.

I am just wondering why you are crying a lot. Maybe you should seek help for that through a counselor or therapist or your doctor. Maybe you are depressed and sad and need medication to make you stop crying. Really, depression, is an illness in itself. Anyways maybe you just had a fight with someone close to you or someone died I don't know, but this reason for crying must be investigated and somehow curtailed. Anti-depressants do help, but there are various kinds of anti-depressants, and they may not all suit you. So you have to try them out with your doctors assistance and help. Myself, I use zoloft, as an anti-depressant, it doesn't give me too many side effects. There are some anti-depressnats that cause vomitting, diarrhea, headache, stomach ache etc. I tried a lot out before I found zoloft to be best for me. The pills cannot heal you alone, I suggest regular visits to a therapist or your doctor to tell them how things are going, and maybe how to solve some problems or what ever. Good luck. Please stop crying. Maybe another thing you can try to do is to meditate, as you have your eyes closed you can breathe deeply and just go from head to toe in your mind and breathe deeply after each body part, that relaxes me a lot and even sometimes makes me fall asleep. Anyways, another secret to this meditation technique is not to think of the past nor the future. Just concentrate on the present, and when you are doing a task just fully concentrate on it, don't let your mind wander to your problems or the reason you were crying. So if something comes up from the past or your crying episodes, just say to yourself, not right now, in the past. If your mind wanders to the future, say to yourself "not right now". And do the meditation exercise maybe 2-3 times a day. It is best to do it in the same location and the same sequence and to be comfortable. You will see the difference in you after a while, after doing this meditation regularly. Also it is best not to think about negative things or things that make you angry, because that will make you sad or depressed. So if that comes up in your mind, just say to yourself "not right now". Take care, hope all will turn out well.

I am not sure whether it is hot or cold packs. You used to be able to use BenGay, but they took out the good stuff that used to help puffy eyes.

Refrigerate cucumbers. Cut into thin slices. Lie down and put slices on closed eyes several times a day.
