He is very sensitive, very closed and very reserved.

Say hello to him everytime you see him and start with casual talk. (Remember to smile!) This way he'd feel that you are friendly and open towards him. Once you get to know him more and you guys are friends, then it'd be easier to talk about your feelings. Oh and, joking around with him and maybe teasing him a bit may help too.

If you really love him then you will study and observe how he is. What his likes and dislikes, turn-ons/turn-offs. Tell him about your feelings. Make him comfortable with you and get him out of his shell. Be his best friend.
