Yes i answer. Also i have opinions that change as i change from moment to moment. So in reality i have no opinion and am open each moment to criticism if i have the chance to challenge the criticisms.

They are insecure of their own arguments and are looking for like-minded (albeit narrow-minded) people to strengthen their insecurities. An additional comments they might make only exposes the depth of their insecurities and the limitations of their distorted ideal. Don't worry about them because they surround us wherever we go and they ultimately only harm themselves.

I can be e-mailed and I am opinionated, I admit, but some of the answers on the site teach me a lot, so I hope the end result will be mutual edification. However, I've only ever had one e-mail in response, and the time I e-mailed someone else, they did not reply. It seems a bit like a waste of time.
Another reason for not accepting e-mail could be that now and again computer crashes occur and that would do more harm than good if people had contacted you then didn't get a response. My computer was out of commission for over a week recently, then after it was fixed I had constant crashes every time I went on to Yahoo! That's been fixed with the help of a technician, but it makes IT dunces like me nervous.

I guess they can't handle an actual discussion about it. The one's that really get me are the one's that email me, but I can't return an email or a message.
As for not answering additional details, I don't go back to every question I "answered". That may be why they don't reply.

Yeah, I agree. Especially when they dont respond to additional details. A mixture of arrogance and ignorance. You asked a fair, genuine question. And you get a thumbs down for it!
It says alot....

They don't want your feedback. They just want to talk to you & not listen to what you have to say. I've asked this question also & had answers about identity theft, etc. While that might be true in some cases, I don't think that is the main reason. I usually answer all who e-mail me.

They are too busy writing really opinionated answers and probably couldn't cope with the high volume of e-mails that they'd get.

The most opinionated do not accept e-mails because when they DID accept e-mails their in-boxes were constantly filled with hate-mail.

I quit letting people email because I'm tired of all the hellfire and damnation emails. I'm perfectly happy in my chosen religious practices and have no desire to be converted.
Most people never go back to the question after they have answered it, so they don't see the additional details.
