Blowing your nose, and wiping hard with toilet tissue, and handkerchiefs can bring on the redness. Use "Kleenex" instead. It's much softer. Try not to blow your nose too hard. Purchase a good medicine for "Nighttime" that will help relax you, because relaxation is what you need to cure the cold. Drink plenty of water, during the day,and apply warm towels to the red area, especially at bedtime. (Hope you fell better soon!)

Go to Walgreen's and get some clay mask stuff. It will dry out your nose so you can put make up on it. Also there is some stuff called Vix that helps stop a runny nose.

well it's red from you blowing your nose and using a harsh tissue. Try tissues with lotion in them. They're a lot softer. Try taking some decongestent to stop your nose from running and a nasal spray. Try not to rub your nose a whole lot.

Your nose is chapped. Use the same things you would use if your lips were chapped. Try not to use rough tissues to blow your nose. Vaseline or cocoa butter will work as well. The redness will go away on its own. Two days...depends how bad it is and if you keep using tissues to blow it. Good luck.

go to wal-mart or target and buy this stuff called purelan. they sell it in the baby section. it's really purified lanolin for breastfeeding mothers, but it works well for so many other things! my hubby just got over a sinus infection and had a horrible sore red nose. he out that stuff on it it really helped. not only that, but it stays on for hours.

Try Aquifer Lotion at CVS. Aloe may help too.
