An easel can be made by a carpenter - or go to an art school and find out about the stores where you can get it.
For a canvas - you can buy it at a similar store or make it - buy canvas cloth, stretch it over a frame of the desired size (this too can be made by a carpenter) and staple it tight. You can paint 'Texture white' on it - 3 coats (wait for each coat to dry before you paint the next)
If you still have trouble getting this, purchase it on your next visit to Mumbai... or tell someone visiting to get it for you....its not hard to get these things here.
There is one shop called 'Janta' in Bandra (Mumbai) which is very resourceful. If they dont have it, you can order it.... Otherwise, there are other art suppliers.
