perhaps she's greater a habit of calling everybody babe and could't end it, or she could merely call you babe reason she loovvees you ;) And if she started a verbal substitute first that definitely potential she likes you! Esp. if she signed in when you! She could merely be an extremely friendly individual. :)

Actually when i've dated someone or was talking to someone I called another female "babe" just as habit, as a friendly gesture, and apparently females take it a different way. I guess it's just a matter of opinion, my take is that no its just being friendly.

It all depends how old this guy is, because that was no problem in the sixties! More than likely, he feels more for you emotionally than he is willing to express. Be careful if you do not want to get serious, but don't chastise him. Keep in mind most gentlemen do not keep female friends, just women they would like to get further with intimately than they have.
