It could take a long time, depending on how you cope with it. Try not to dwell on the past and move on the best way you can. I know that might be hard but you just have to try. Don't linger on the good or the bad times and don't think like "oh well I probably could have done this" or "yeah, that was amazing. I wish I could go back and do it over" because that will just make you wanna love her more. :]

I dont think you ever really forget them and they will always define who you are. But there are things you can do to move on....meet with friends and hang out with them. Learn to enjoy life with what you got, when you start to feel things making sense again then this is when you will meet someon more fantastic and special than you ever thought imaginable...
Believe me I know, it has happened to me twice and on both occasions I was hurt but we need to move on and show people how great we are....the hurt will remain for as long as you let it. I learned this the hard way, you must let it go or you could riskk becoming bitter towards your ex....

I didn't get over the guy I had loved until I met a new guy to get my mind away from the other guy. So maybe you should start dating again and see other girls, then you have someone else to keep you busy and take your ming off the girl you loved.

It depends dude. Did you go out with her? If so how long? Were you married to her? If so how long? It all depends man. The best thing to do is just get out of the house and meet new females. That way you can possibly fall in love with another one.

It takes a very long time especialy if you see her every day. its best to try not to focus on her and worry about the other things ahead of you just let her go. and if you have anything that she has given you then you should eigther put it in a safe box or somewhere were you put memories.

the getting over it part is the hardest but when you find someone else who completes you and makes you happy then after some time you will forget them. every so often you may remember things but because you will grow stronger feelings for the new person those old feelings won't mean as much....

IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE INDIVIDUAL.
YOU NEVER REALLY GET OVER YOUR FIRST LOVE.
IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MANY YEAS GO BY, YOUR FIRST LOVE , WILL ALWAYS BE ON YOUR MIND.
JUST WONDERING WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM
IF THEY FOUND SOMEONE BETTER THAN YOU
THERE IS REALLY NO SET TIME TO GET OVER ANYONE ITS UP TO YOU, AND HOW EMOTIONALLY YOU WERE ATTACHED TO THAT PERSON.
THE BEST THING TO DO IS GET OUT THERE AND MINGLE
DON'T JUST SIT AROUND THE HOUSE , GET OUT AND DO THINGS TO GET IT OFF YOUR MIND
FIND SOMEONE ELSE.
IT WILL PASS REALLY, BUT HOW SOON IS REALLY UP TO YOU. IF YOU SIT AT HOME DOING NOTHING IT WILL TAKE A LONG TIME, BUT IF YOU GET OUT IT WILL TAKE LESS TIME.
I'M SORRY YOUR FEELING DOWN.
TAKE CARE
