Go to a salon and get it professionally colored. Do not try this yourself. Do your homework and ask around--if you like a friend's hair, ask who she goes to, look the stylist up and see if they are certified in coloring, etc. I had a dying snafu when I was in high school (I went dark brown to a horrible ashy blonde), and my stylist put some sort of chemical on it that removed the color and turned it to a base color (kinda greyish), at which point, she could re-dye it to whatever I wanted. It basically removed the dye and ensured that when it was dyed the second time around, the new color would stick evenly.
It will be hard (and probably expensive) to get your old color back in one go if you went darker and want it light again. The easier route would be to get some thin, subtle highlights put in, and then gradually get more dramatic highlights put in as the months go by. If you went seriously dark and it hasn't faded and the roots look bad, then you'll have to do what I did and get that chemical put in to remove the color altogether and start fresh. Make sure you bring pictures of yourself with your old hair color, or celeb/model pics with the color/style you want. Just describing the color to a stylist can lead to another Tress Tragedy. :)
Good luck and happy coloring!

I think that you should go to a professional salon, and dye it back to blonde. They will make sure it stays blond. Don't try and do this by yourself with one of those hair dyes in a box from the drug store. Also ask for a permanent colour, that way it will stay longer with you, than a semi permanent colour from the boxes.

Don't use a permanent dye. Use an ammonia free temporary dye. Something that comes out in 6 weeks. Continue to do that until you can cut off the original permanent dyed hair.

When making a major change in color ie brown to blonde you need to see a professional to avoid seriously damaging your hair or having it turn out a brassy color. After you see a professional you should be able to maintain the color at home but for the initial coloring you should pay the money to have it done right.

your best bet is to go to a hairstylist that knows wat they are doing. i you try to do it yourself it will come worse than going to get it done. especially because you want it blond...you can't just dye hair that has been dyed dark back to a lighter color. it won't do anything but wast your money. you it will probelby have to striped of the brown and then dyed the color you want it. but get it done profestionaly because any kind of color removeal has the potentail of coming out horrible if you have no expericence.

go with what nature gave you. im sure your natural colour is beautiful.
you know how one lie can turn into a bigger and bigger mess? that is what your hair will be like if you keep colouring it. it will be awful and dont forget, you roots will show when they grow in. by colouring your hair you are damaging it. leave it alone.

You can put a temporary Roux Fanci Full rinse on it that will cover it until you can get to a professional colorist to get the hair corrected.

I have often used Fanci Full to tone the brass or cover hair coloring mistakes I have made on my own.

I suggest that you stay with your natural hair colour. I've always done that and I don't have any problems with my hair.
