which cell in the gastric juices is responsible for the production of pepsinogen?

The chief cell releases pepsinogen (and rennin). The parietal cell releases gastric acid, which converts the pepsinogen into pepsin.

I believe the answer is the G-cells. The regulate the prodution of gastric juices therefore responsible for the production of pepsinogen.
