No. Cardio helps you burn calories, in turn burning fat. If you want to gain weight, hit the weights. Do high weight, low reps (i.e. three sets of 6 reps). Also, if you want to gain weight, get protien shake mix from GNC, use whole milk and ice cream in the shake when you make it. But make sure if you are drinking the shake, that you are working out, otherwise you will just get fat instead of building bulk muscle.

Everybody needs cardio, even if they are trying to gain weight. So yes, run at least 10-20 minutes, and just make sure you eat more. And don't forget to include weight training! A 20 minute run should burn 200-300 calories, so make sure you eat something (healthy!) that is at least this much. Or better yet, buy some weight gaining powder from GNC.

Running is a great way to lose weight. If you want to run and gain weight, increase your caloric intake. Run for less than 20 minutes 2 times a week. This will, at the very least, keep your heart healthy.

When you workout, you can either workout to lose weight or workout to gain muscle. When you weight lift, you workout your muscles and start gaining weight. The weight you are gaining are from your muscles getting bigger, not from fat.
Running can help work the muscles in your legs, also try leg exercises so you wont lose your leg muscles.

If you want to gain lean muscle mass, then you need to keep doing your cardio workouts, but in less intensity. So yes, you need to keep running, but at a lower speed.
