i used to dye my hair alot,im growing in natural color,i have about 6 inches grown in,im tempted to dye it?

i really want to dye it because i hate how it looks having roots
and its boring to know im gonna always have the same hair color
but dying it is expensive to get it done professionally...and its alot of work to do it myself...do you think i should dye it?

It may be expensive, but if you want your natural color back, get it done professionally. They can almost perfectly match it to your natural color, so even if it does grow out, you won't be worrying about your roots. Trust me, if you want your hair natural, that is the only way to do it--it will just get too annoying to have two-toned hair. Just pay the money once, and don't do it again....until you want a different hair color at least............good luck

I have been through this exact thing, and now I have tons of undyed hair. What I did that seemed to help with roots and blah hair was to use temporary dyes occassionally to help with the roots and boost shine, body and appearance. If you go this route be sure to use a dye that washes out in 5-12 washes. Also, be prepared for the dye to stick more soundly to your dyed hair. You can try manic panic, punky colors, loreal temporary dyes, but DO NOT USE HENNA it will not come out. Anyhow, I hope this helps.

You can use a color remover from the store BUT make sure you HAVE ENOUGH. I bought two boxes and it was not nearly enough, I probably would have needed 7 boxes o.O My hair turned out red and orange and yellow and splotchy XP I learned my lesson on that one.. Anywho, if you use it, since youve used permanent hair dye, it will not go back to your natural color. Permanent dye alters your original color. You would have to dye it afterwards. I really recommend you go to the salon and have your hair bleached and dyed again. That way your hair wont be messed up and it will be less damaged.

Don't dye the roots. Maybe you could dye the dyed part to match the roots. How about that? Or you could just cut off the dyed part. Cutting the dyed part sounds like it could be cheapest option.

If you don't want to see your roots do what I did and color it as close to your natural color as possible and then let it grow out. I am a natural burnette and I was dyeing it blonde at the salon.

Just remember to have your trimmed and before you know it all of your color will be your own.

get a semi or demi permanent dye. it does not harm your hair nearly as much. the color will seem darker right when you get it done but after a few weeks after washing it will go to a nice color. make sure you tell them to get the color similar to your eyebrow or roots color of course! i did it and it worked very well, i was completely pleased with my results. hope you take my advice!

if you like the color of your roots then just dye the rest of your hair the same color as your roots so you don't have to wait forever for them to fully grow in. If you don't like your root color then change it

NOOO!! Do not die it!! Because like you said, you die it alot. Right? So when you grow older you will have like really less hair beacuse all of the things in the dye can like frie your hair!!

why don't you dye it to your natural color then you will not have the roots color when you grow it out.

yeah you should just dye it because i think it looks horrible when you could see the roots growing out.
