We don't do a tree anymore, no room for it and the cat would destroy it. We put out a large Christmas Teddy Bear on a stand by the fireplace. I will put it up about 10 days before Christmas and take it down a couple days afterwards.

Ther are twelve days of Christmas so by calculation you should put your decorations and tree up 6 days before Christmas on the 19th....but it's entirely up to you. Happy Christmas!

My husband is putting up ours tomorrow. We tend to put it up when we've got time, any weekend in december. Then my husband will put up a tree in his dad's house, a family tradition. We have plastic trees, can't stand the needles of natural trees.

When I was growing up, we put it up on Christmas Eve. I usually put it up on Dec. 23. I leave it up until Jan. 6 (Epiphany).
