concerning the war in Iraq?? I would have a lot more respect for him if he would just admit that his strategies aren't working and be more open to options other than "stay the course"......when there is so much at stake why does he continue on this path?

Shrty0525----I've served my country how about yourself?? If you'd take the time to read the question I never mentioned "cut and run"....that's just the only solution that people like yourself offer if it doesn't blindly follow George W. Bush.

Bush is an idiot who has surrounded himself with "yes" people and totally inept cabinet members who lie to him.

It is astounding that Bush will not take the Iraq Study Group's recommendations concerning Iraq and act on them. I was very pleased to hear James Baker say the Group's recommendations are not negotiable and Bush cannot cherry-pick them.

We are in this war because Bush the former did not clean up his mess after the Gulf War.

Its really just human nature. When somebody tells you, you have a problem most ppls first response is, no i don't! I'm a republican and i personally think Iraq was a big mistake and i think it would make a lot ppl feel better if bush just came out and say i made a huge mistake sorry. He has admitted that current strategy is not working but is "picking and choosing" certain strategies that will "fix" the problem. Can't blame him for being so adamant in keeping his current course. I hate it when i make mistakes. He just needs to be a man and say "I've made some mistakes". On the other side i think politicians spend way too much time on the blame game. Just fix the problem!

btw like your name. Seize the day!

THERE ARE A LOT OF STRATEGIES THAT DONT WORK IN A WAR. THE PLANS CHANGE ABOUT 5 SECONDS AFTER YOU ARE IN CONTACT BUT BUSH'S OVERALL STRATEGY IS TO WIN UNLIKE A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE. AND IT DOESNT MAKE IT ANY EASIER WITH FOLKS THROWING STONES CONSTANTLY AND LOOKING OVER HIS SHOULDER QUESTIONING HIS EVERY MOVE AT EVERY MOMENT. I DONT KNOW ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE THAT APPROACH AND I DONT THINK HE IS ANY DIFFERENT. THE ENEMY DOESNT SEEM TO HAVE THAT PROBLEM. HO CHI MING STRATEGY WAS TO WARE US DOWN NO MATTER THE COST TO HUMAN LIFE ON HIS SIDE. NO MATTER IF IT TOOK 2 MILLION MORE NVA LIVES. HE KNEW THAT EVENTUALLY WE WOULD CAVE. HE SAID IT IN HIS OWN AUTOBIOGRAPHY. AS LONG AS WE HAVE THE ATTITUDE WE HAVE NOW WE WONT WIN ANOTHER WAR PERIOD UNLESS WE WIPE OUT ENTIRE POPULATIONS. AND WE CANT STAND OUR OWN CASUALTIES MUCH LESS BEING ABLE TO STOMACH THAT.

Hello - they are open and changing things. They talk to those that are in charge in Iraq.

Since you seem to know so much about battle strategies and such, what do YOU suggest other than cut and run?

Because there is so much at stake.

Why do so many libs love to see our friends killed?

I have seen this time and time again. The purges have started on hopes we are going to give it up.
