Can someone tell me what devices a monster cable connects? If I buy the Sony Bravia, how do I connect my DVD and VCR player?

Many many thanks!

There are different types of monster cables. HDMI, Component (blue, green red), DVI, Optical audio, etc.

Most HDTVs will come with component and hdmi slots. Sometimes DVI slots for your computer as well as VGA slots.

Depending on how old your DVD / VCR player is, you most likely will use Component cables (blue, green, red). Check to see if your players has HDMI slots since those are better.

Depending on what you're talking about, Monster cable is a brand a cables of all different sorts. It's the same difference between Coke and Pepsi.
Monster cables boast that by using their cables you will get a higher bandwidth of signal and thus improve your overall quality of viewing.
Honestly, you could use anything and probably not notice a huge difference between good brands of cables.

But when buying a LCD/Plasma TV, the source or signal is really going to make the biggest difference. And some TVs will handle that source or signal in different ways.

That's why i recommend not so much on getting the most expensive cables, but putting that money towards getting an up-converted DVD player. That would really help make your DVD clarity better. And as far as your VCR player, composite video is good enough.

As far as an up-converted DVD player ,these usually come with either/both Component video, or HDMI outputs. I would suggest HDMI.
And a monster HDMI cables will probably cost anywhere from $70-100 dollars in-store retail.
