my boyfriend told me he had to go to a family dinner last weekend because his very old grandmother was there or something, and he had to go. anyway i found out that his aunt was actually havin a christmas party and his grandmother wasnt really even there. i guess its not something to get so mad about, but i am. first of all weve been together for over two years, and you'd think he would at least invite me to a family party, but he didnt even ask me. second of all im pretty sure he has some girl cousins around his age who were there with their friends. i dont know i just think he takes me for granted. anyway should i tell him i know he lied? i dont like keeping things in but i also dont like starting arguments.

yes you need to tell him you know and ask him why but in a calm way, maybe when you both are relaxed just ask him baby you know that day... and go on from there
also don't assume anything, make sure that has nothing to do with his family, for example my uncle had a party and when he invited us he told my sister no boyfriends! and maybe something like that had happened and he lied so it doesn't hurt your feelings,
yet i wouldn't just bite my tong and say nothing, you need to find out why and when he answered you, see if it makes sens, don't just say well it's ok i can change him and yes let him know that he shouldn't take you for granted!

u should tell him that u know he lied, esp when u know for sure that he did. sweeping things like this under the carpet is no good. and yes, after dating 2 years, and then lie abt this, u guys have things to talk about definitely. if u dont talk abt it, u r just buying time (and also robbing urself from meeting honest people out there?), if u talk abt it u might feel better and get things resolve like make him think abt what he did and what it make u feel and how to move forward. OR, he can start being upset, accuse u of being paranoid etc, thus showing how he rather make a big deal and turn this into ur fault for not trusting him, rather than his fault for lying and also not wanting to take u to the family thingy...

Girlfriend, what does it take for you to get a clue? The guy lies. That simple. Does it matter why? He didn't want you to know that he was going to a party that he did NOT want to take you to. The problem with your relationship, of course, is that strictly speaking, he's a free agent. You haven't got any "papers" on him lol. That means he is playing both sides of the fence. He enjoys having a "faithful woman" always there when he needs her, but at the same time, he is free to play the field, go where he wants, do what he wants, and he doesn't feel any obligation to come clean with you about it.
LOL He hasn't bought the cow, but he is enjoying all those cowy things. It's your call.

I have dated many liars and they hate it when you just randomly tell them that they lie so much that they should make a career out of it. Or you can say randomly that I never know when to believe your stories because you are convinced you are such a honest person when you are such a liar. They will laugh because they know you are right. So, don't worry about starting a fight just dance around the conversation and throw in oh you are a liar.

Sounds like your guy didn't tell you for a reason. Maybe he was hoping to score with one of his cousins or cousins friends. I would let him know I know he lied but try to find out why first....did he bring someone else? Whats the deal?

maybe he is not sure if its the proper time to take you to a family affair,cos if he did,you would think he is sure that you are the one,and this scares him...if it really bothers you,ask him why he didn't invite you there,but don't insinuate you know what's the real score in that party.if he says otherwise,then i guess he is hiding something from you.start to distance yourself from him,go to parties without him,join your family,friends without him,and see what his reaction will be.hope things work out well.

Confront him, tell him to stop lying, then kick him in the jimmy. Tell him to grow up, be a man, and if he ever lies again you'll hit him with a baseball bat. Should do the trick.

get over it aleready. Im sure he isnt waxing anyones **** at his aunts house. Why dont you just say hey look id like to go with you to these "gatherings" . Im guessing you are the jealous type. Let him know your ON TO him or whatever the controlling girlfriend types do. Good luck

Hmmmm.... Okay you should by leaving a message on his answering machine. He cant argue with a message. Orrrrrrr....... uuhh... maybe say i know you lied to me. Why?Then he'll explain and then you say ill give you 3 more chances to not lie to me. If i find out you lie again, there will be consequences. Ummm.... thats all i gots.

just say I dont want u 2 be mad at me or anythn but I found out tat u lied 2 me it is kinda bothring me y wuld u lie and try not 2 get him upset or anythn but tell him how u feel and I dont really no y peeps lie and its not good for u 2 lie eithr some peeps say its unhealthy? but ok my friend lies 2 me all the time bout this guy and it really hurts me b/c she says bad things bout me tat she said tat he said evn though he didnt really... lol sry if u cant understand this but ok just take my advice hope it works out for u!!!(:
