I have two cats and about 70 plants for the most part my cats don't eat the plants, although I have caught them nibbling on the ends of my spider plants. So it is generally not a problem, but you can always grow them some cat grass and then they'll have their own plant to eat.

My fiances mom has loads of plants in her home but to keep the cat out of them she plants some catnip and that keeps her cat from destoying the others or trying to eat them.

Fake plants with bleach sprinkled around them, but If your cat is prone to eating things that smell bad I wouldn't do that.
