Yes you can bring both items on your carry on luggage. They actually suggested that you bring you camera with you so the film won't be damaged going through the scanners in the checked luggage. I would suggest thought before you travel that you visit the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/ they set the rules and regulations on what you can and can not bring on the aircraft with you.
