Why is it that young men cannot handle the responsibility of driving a vehicle. They think they can drive, they drive too fast, too recklessly, take too many risks and keep on killing themselves and other people.

This weekend a young man overtook on the hard shoulder but did not see a broken down lorry!, the result was that he killed himself and another driver.

Should the driving age for men be increased to 25 years old?

No. It should make the driving test tougher to pass. In California, when your license is supended or you have trouble driving or trouble seeing, they can re-test you, making it tougher.

As a society we are own own judges of our own driving skills.
There is no continuing education, testing, or graduated licensing.

Age makes no difference.
I see 50 year old drivers that drive the same way.
These guys learn what a good driver is from Nascar.
When I go to a WWE wrestling event I want to beat up people when I leave, but I dont. Its called self control and knowing better, but I want to. I think it works the same.
Its out of control.
They say too many violators to stop it now.
Will it be the same for robbery someday? Rape? Or murder?
Its BS.
Give me a badge and one partner and I could put a BIG dent in it in one day.
43000 die per year automobile "accidents".
Thats 12 times the annual US Solder death toll in Iraq.
Who knows how many people are injured.
How many dollars in property damage?
Why would we need to fix that?
Wouldnt the hospitals be empty and health costs go down?
I guess they could still count on an occasional
$300,000 life flight.
I am SICK of the terrorists on our own highways.
(And our highways being sold to foriegn companies).

First off, I've been nearly killed by more WOMEN drivers than men,
(of COURSE I would say that, right?) but Dodge Man is right.

The age of 25, however, is not fair as many people opt to go to work at age 18 rather than continue their education. But on the other hand, if they couldn't get a license 'till they're 25, maybe they WOULD stay in school..........

i own a repair shop, and i agree with you,it happens all the time,,young people think when they get their license there king of the road,,but they don't have the driving experience that's needed to avoid accident,,its getting worse to,but raising the age limit probably wouldn't help,,they still wouldn't have the experience needed to be good drivers, but i think the driving test should be harder, and more strict than it is right now that might help some,,other wise,,its just a problem we have to face every time we drive a car,,good luck,i hope this help,s,,have a good x-mas.

I think they need to raise the hours required during training and make sure when they take the test, they are really able to drive safely.
