I am a big lightweight when it comes to drinking. On Thursday night, I had 4.5 beers and three shots consisting of Contreau, raspberry vodka, and lime juice. I got sick that very night, obviously, and threw up quite a bit. However, two days later, I'm still feeling nauseous. Is this normal? I'm getting paranoid that maybe I'm pregnant, but I doubt this is possible. I was feeling perfectly fine until I drank all of that alcohol. I'm using AlkaSeltzer Morning Relief and eating lots of soup and drinking ginger ale. Granted, my nauseua isn't as bad as it was yesterday but the slight queasiness is annoying, especially when I have a 7 pg paper to write. I'm hoping that others have had equally long hangovers and this is something that time will remedy. In the meantime, any fix-all cures that you can reccommend?

I had a two day hangover once ...it was horrible. You have my sympathy. I used to get hangovers really easily. To prevent them, I just stick to beer and I never mix beer and liquor...actually I really don't drink liquor at all anymore becasue when I do I always get hangovers. Also, drink lots of water while you are drinking alchohol. Im a lightweight too and one time my hangover was so bad I had to go to the hospital to get rehydrated...and I haden't even drank that much! Since then I have been very careful and I haven't had a hangover in over a year. Be careful...and I hope you feel better.

A lightweight for sure...anyway, I've definately felt like crap and had hangovers last for days. But I'm with the one guy on this one about it being more like a fifth of liquor that did it. AND greasy food is DEFINATELY the way to go!! A total hangover cure-all. Lots of water. A warm coke. Ginger ale. A plain baked potato. Those all settle a quesey stomach. Good luck! And go take a pregnancy test!

One day it is the norm to feel rally really f* up and then an extra day to feel kinda weird and strange.
Get rid of ir by drinking a bit more of beer like 1/2 of a can
That's what I do if I feel a bit hung over when I wake up, or coke and rum or even coffee with some liquor in it. Hey it kicks me right off my feet.
Drink plenty of water, eat some greasy food and good luck !!!

A hangover is nothing more or less than dehydration. (Unless you really over do it, than it can be real alcohol poisoning.) The alcohol bonds with water in your system and both leave together. The naussea and ill effects will last until you bring the water in your body up to healthy levels, and the toxins that have built up while the water wasn't there to transport them away down to normal levels.
Until then, expect joint aches, nausea, and fuzzy thinking.

I don't think it's abnormal to have a long hangover. It takes a long time for your body to process all that alcohol. I have felt terrible for days after a drinking binge. Lots of rest and fluids should help. My husband also swears by Dr. Pepper. :) Hope you feel better soon.

You are just simply shouldn't drink alcohol. 4.5 beers and two shots, I am just getting my night started. When you drink a fifth of any any alcohol and then look for more, we can discuss a hangover!!

1. drink loads of water.
2. go run like hell for half an hour in the park (can't tell you why this works, it just does)
3. don't stay at home vegging. that's always made things worse for me.
