Turkey meat is not bad for dogs. It IS bad to feed your dog leftover Thanksgiving turkey because 1) a big meal of rich fatty food can trigger pancreatitis and 2) poultry bones can splinter, causing stomach and intestinal upset, and occasionally a perforated intestine.

Dogs should NEVER be given turkey or chicken bones. But some dogs are allergic to turkey, and it is too rich for others, so they will be sick after eating. My dogs have no problem, but my son's dog is sick every time he is given turkey.

There is no need to worry about feeding your dog turkey! You should not however feed them to much fatty skin and never give them turkey bones as they splinter and can cause serious problems!

I give my dog turkey, chicken & fish. Besides if you look on dog food lables you will find turkey in most of it, wet or dry.

Some people can't read and just say dumb things. Ignor them and go forward.
