I don't get treated like crap by them there mom's and dad's yep but not them I have nephews and nieces from age 19 down to 1 year old there all great kids love them there parents I could do with out at times. LOL

I have two nephews who think they are better than everyone in the world but are over 35 and still push carts for a Fred Meyers story or pull tickets at a movie theater.
They ridicule me, never send thank you cards, Christmas cards, Birthday cards but expect something...money from me every time they have a birthday or holiday. If I send them something, it is only criticized. I don't send them anything anymore. No matter what I do, it is never enough.
I ignore them. If they become friendly to me at any point, I will respond kindly as I love them but they are arrogant, self serving and rude. Their mother supports them financially, gives them cars, pays their rent and gives them anything they ask for. My brother has died of cancer and my nephews are all that I have left but...
Oh well. I just get on with my life and eventually they will come to their senses...or not. I'm just waiting patiently with no worries of my own as I know I've done the right thing by them. They are the ones who will suffer in the long run.
Happiness is the best revenge...just be happy and let a few years pass. The only constant is change.

well im 16 years old and i have been an aunt since i was 8. The oldest erick (8) doesnt really like to listen to me and i hate it because i do everything for him. his sister nicole (6) can be a brat at times but what kid cant?? i try and do fun things with them so they will be happy.. i dont really have a problem with the younger ones.. but i know what you mean. I get tired of it, and when there parents tell them to respect me they get mouthy and say "she should respect me" so i dont know i think you should just try and take them out make them want to see you

I am 50 and I have one each, they are adults there self and they treat me like crap just because I moved back home to help take care of my parents. So we all live next to each other. They just don't want me to live here.
They act like they are better than I am. Their mom is as bad, she treats me like crap as well. This has all happened since the death of my brother.
So guess what I am going to do? I am going to make them all cookies and candy for Christmas this year and hand it to them and say Merry Christmas and then walk away. They don't deserve any of it, but I am not going to stoop to their level.

I was always cool with my aunts/uncles and vice versa, so I dont have a frame of reference here...I dont have any nieces or nephews either...

I get what u r saying! My nieces r spoiled brats! They yell at me, never listen when I try 2 disipline them, & my brother see's this & allows it! In my case their is no hope BUT in your case I hope their is Good Luck

Eventually. I just tell myself that they're just being brats and it's not my fault, and then I try to get along with them.

No, and I do not tolerate it...
They don't do it more than once or twice..
They are sometimes disrespectful to their parents
and peers but Never to me...
