ok, so i like this guy who is just a friend. i think at one point he liked me too, but now he likes some other girl. i think it would be best if i could just get over him and move on. but i still really want to be friends with him. & the only way that i came up with to get over him is to stop talking to him, but then i would have to give up our friendship too. what should i do??

My best friend and I when we were younger had an off and on thing....he was my first kiss and etc. I still love him dearly and he knows it. My joke is he is my soulmate and I will never marry him! All I did was keep in contact. Talked to him just like always. Treated him as a friend should. We both have our ups and downs when we were younger it was just bad timing. Now he likes someone else. Just be honest with how you feel, but tell him you won't let it get in the way of your friendship. In the long run you guys will be closer than most friends can be :)

Well I am in the same situation the only difference is that I was with this boy for a year. What I did to stop thinking about him was to talk to another guy it worked out fine. He has his girlfriend and I have my boyfriend and we still communicate because we have a baby together. So try to find someone else.

You don't need to cut off communication at all. Just go on with your life and just keep your doors open!
And if someday you both talk, chat, or whatever just go with the flow. No big deal.

i think the best way to carry on with that problem is that you know another guy the fast you can, and then you will be good friends without worries
