My girlfriend and I broke up last Friday. We had been living together for about five months. She has two kids who I have loved since day one. I have come to call them my own. I am truely in love with her and would do anything to get her back.

The problem is that she claims to be confused about what she wants. She has been talking to her x-bf, and says she still loves him. Nothing I did really drove her away that she didn't already know about. When I first moved in with her she knew I didn't make a lot of money. I am a med student and don't have the chance to work as much as I would like. This other guy is a construction worker and must do pretty good income wise. She says its not a money thing and that in the long run she knows I am better for her and her children but cant seem to stay on the right track.

Do I give her the time to think, even though she sees him on occasion? Or do I move on? I can't seen to get her out of my mind and try not to call, but I do. What do I do?

You'll be waiting a long time, man. She won't come back to you until she's at the end of her rope, and after she's burned through many more guys. Do you want to be Captain Save-a-ho, or do you want to live your own life?

Choose one.
