My personal opinion is that men have a bigger sexual appetite than women. I'm a sex camel. I can go weeks without it, maybe even months. My poor husband.

Well, this is becoming less and less of a fact these days. I would say there are about as many women cheating on men as men cheating on women. I currently watched a Today Show segment about this which confirmed the rates of women cheating on their spouses is at an all time high! I personally have more than one married female friend out there who's having an affair right now as I type this!! In the past I think it may have been true that men cheated more because women tended to stay in the home to care for the children while men were always out of the house working and taking care of business. Now that women are out in the working world and are becoming involved with more and more activities outside the home their chances of meeting other men are higher, therefore increasing the amount extramarital affairs. I also think a woman's way of thinking has changed drastically over the past five decades. Many women are no longer as submissive to their spouses as their Mothers and Grandmothers were. We can't just blame it on the men anymore, there are many trifling women who are cheating on their husbands and boyfriends out there!!!

Psychologically, men feel the need to conquer, if you will, as many women as they possibly can. Women on the other hand still have a high sex drive, but psychologically they are more family oriented and generally form a domestic relationship that they intend to last forever.
Not to worry women. Men generally calm down and become more domesticated by the age of 30. There are a few stragglers though. These men, which I am one, may never "settle down".

Men are sexually driven, and the need for sex is very important to them. On the other hand, women are more emotionally involved, and it takes alot to put all your emotion into someone, so to cheat means attaching emotions and that takes alot of energy out of us!

We are not naturally monogamous as a species. It is literally unnatural for us to bond for life- but it is obviously something we can choose to do.
Men have a biological urge to spread their seed far and wide, and a lesser urge to care for those carrying our seed.
Women have the drive to nurture their offspring and to try to secure a protector and provider for their young.
Our current culture downplays these urges, and we sometimes pretend that they do not exist- it is not politically correct to discuss the biological imperatives that drive mammals and primates- we are supposed to be above this somehow.
And we ARE fairly rational animals. We CAN overcome these urges and act like nice domesticated creatures if we want (or if we have to)... most of the time.

Ego inflation. That's what they thrive on.Don't get me wrong there are as many women as there are men cheating I believe were more low key with ours.We don't do it unless it's first done to us.It still doesn't make it right from both parties.

Actually, I've read several times that it's the other way around. Maybe women are simply more subtle about it? Or maybe all of the statistics we've read are skewed because people aren't so quick to admit it?

Well I belive that yes. because it is more acceptable for a man to cheat, becaue if a woman cheats she is labeled a ho, yet if a man cheats is is labeled "the king". But I also belive that it depends on the person to.
