hair color went wrong?

i tried this temp hair color Loreal pulse and went for eletric black but my hair is dark dark blond and it turned purpleish it looks really bad and i wanted black it says it comes out in 8-10 washs and i put it in yerstaday but it still looks bad and i wanted to know if i could dye over it black perm due to i hate this purple and i want black i really dont want to wash my hair 10 times to get it out and i want to die it over i hate it help

I totally agree that you should go see a Beauty School Salon if you do not have the funds for a Professional Salon. Being a Student myself, I can assure you that a Professional Instructor will be on hand through this process. This particular situation is a Beauty School's dream to have the opportunity to correct.

My first guess is that you did not use a filler. It is important to use the correct filler before going from Blonde to Black to prevent discolouration as you have experienced. Kind of like using a red primer for your white walls before you actually paint your walls a deep red. Same concept.

Your blonde hair picked up the base color in the Black hair dye leaving it a shade of "purple." Washing your hair ten times will not help very much either. As crazy as this may sound, you could always go to your local Sally's store and ask the opinion of the "Licensed" assistant to help you chose the correct products that can correct your problem. Be sure, though, that the assistant IS in fact a licensed cosmetologist.

Last resort... pay the money it takes to correct this at a professional salon and chalk it up as a learned experience! You may be out of $80, but you will spend that and more if you continue trying to correct this on your own with no prevail.

I'm going to agree with what most people said and say go to a salon. blonde to black hair colouring is hard on the hair at times and can turn out all sorts of crazy shades, as you've learned. If you can't afford a salon's prices, don't forget about your local beauty schools. They often offer a cheaper alternative to the salon (because the students don't get paid), without the worry of doing it yourself and it going crazy. Many of these schools have licensed professional teachers on site managing the students as they work, and many states require that these students have a minimum number of hours under their belts before they're even allowed to dream of working on a real person. It's a good way to go if you're broke, but still want someone who has some experience to hook you up with what you want most.

oh honey that's not coming out in 8 - 10 washings you are stuck with that FOR A WHILE. If you want to have black hair until it grows out you can go over it with black just get a natural dark brown should do the trick but it will be permanent just get another temp. color even though they say it washes out it doesn't when you go more than one shade darker than your own hair color...

Since you used a temporary hair color, you shouldn't have any trouble dyeing over it with a permanent one. Temporary hair colors are usually not the best to go with, even if you just want to try it out to see if you MIGHT want to consider dieing it a specific color permanently in the long run due to its strength being so weak. So, it would be no problem dyeing over it.
Since you said your hair was blond before though, you might want to get your hair done by a professional. Blond hair to BLACK hair can turn out to be a big mess. Good luck.

Wash it a few times with Dawn, see if that gets it out faster. By the way, I think every black ends up looking that way. Try Darkest Brown. That's pretty dark.
