This is an absolute way to lose weight:-

1. Eat a healthy diet
2. IMPORTANT get lots of exercise

Its what you eat in 24 hours which counts. Drink lots of water, and do not undertake stupid diets that do not work in the long run. The only successful way is to change your lifestyle and I wish this was more generally known. Good luck.

The philosophy behind this is that you don't burn as many calories when you're asleep as when you're awake, so if you eat and have extra calories around in your body, it'll turn to fat while you're sleeping because you don't need the calories.

However, the previous answerer is correct: the way to lose weight is to use more calories than you take in. If you are eating more than the necessary number of calories during the day, you'll gain weight regardless of when you eat.

Try exercise if you aren't already exercising. A recent research study showed that people who exercise can get some of the health benefits even if they are overweight.

Not necessarily 6pm because you could work the night shift but basically not eating 4-5 hours before you go to bed will help digest the food before you lay down.

Yes it does help if you do not consume any more calories after 6 p.m. You are not as active from then until getting up the next morning. You will continue to burn the calories from your calorie intake for the day and doing this does not add more calories. I have been successful in losing weight by doing this.

Thats stupid, I have heard this over and over and its not true. Depending on what time you go to bed, I would stop eating 2 hrs before then. NOT AT 6PM

Ohhh to that whole don't eat carbs after 2pm, thats also false. Your body does need carbs just not alot. Also depends on what carbs you are eating.

Just remember set a time to go to bed that night, and don't eat 2 hrs before then but you can drink anything you want as long as it doesn't have any calories in it.

The only way to really lose weight is to move more than you eat, ie, excercise more and eat less. After all, you didn't see many fat people come out of Belson did you?

not neccessarily, not eating after 6pm allows you to burn off more of the food you have eaten before you go to bed. eating later in the eveing then going to bed means the food you have eaten sits in your stomach, and is more likely to be stored byt he body.

Eating sensibly will result in weight loss, reducing carbs in the evening will help this process.

Probably not, studies have shown that it is the overall amount of food that counts. However, when people do eat late in the day they tend to eat more unhealthy.
