Currently we are in the 21st century, I hope your teacher meant the past six years. The previous century was the 20th century, that was when Clinton was in office. Be careful how you express your answer, or ask your teacher to be more specific. The 21st or 20th century, or the past 30 years.
In the current 21st century, various ethnic groups are migrating to this country for a number of reasons. I will give you a list, and let you research what you feel are the most important for your project.
1. Job opportunities
2.Quality of life issues
3.Lack of land or able to produce enough food in their home country
4.Education system is better
5.Able to make money here and send it back to home country
6.Political persecution in home country
7.War in home country
8.Free trade and Globalization
That is a list, for you to do research on, without me giving any opinion on those topics.

Because their countries are crap. There was a boost of jobs in America, due to Bill Clinton, there were minimum wage jobs ($5 an hour) at the time, that were being offered for $8 an hour. It wasnt really job contruction, but rather job deconstruction, until Mr. Bush started to fix the economy by giving tax breaks to ALL Americans.

Have you seen what most of the countries are like outside the U.S.A. Trust me you don't know what police harassment, freedom of speech, and freedom in general are until you've been in a country that suppresses those things.
