I have another dvd (CYBERHOME) that has problems with VCDs and some DVDs that I burn from my computer (the image gets this pixel weird thing or gets stuck), but not with DVD-RW that I burn from my computer or from my DVR. DVD -RW is always the safe route. It seems to work in just about everything. VCD and SVCD are older standards that were not embraced by all manufactures, so they can't be counted on to work everywhere, every time.
