You can dispute anything that's on your credit report, but the credit bureaus are only obligated to remove information that is false. A bankruptcy is a public record that will remain on your credit report for 10 years. If you have actually filed bankruptcy, then there is no legal way to have it removed from your credit report before that 10 years is up.

Pish posh

I remove them all the time.

here is what you do, go to www.truecredit.com subscribe to their credit reporting services, you can check your credit every 24 hours without it being an inquiry, you can also dispute ANY item online, for free !

What you do is dispute the bankruptcy with a generic dispute such as, " I didnt file that", the burden of proof is on them to prove you did. The federal government is horrible at coming up with the right paperwork, most of the time they dont even try to prove it, they just throw the dipsute letter away, and after 30 -45 days of them not responding, it gets removed automatically.

Is it right? Thats not me to judge

Is it wrong? Thats not me to judge either.

I just report the laws and acts, and we operate to the extent of the law.

A dispute elimination is in elementary words valid if the item being disputed is incorrect. in case you probably did certainly record financial ruin that is being reported wisely and could stay on your credit history for the era of time required in line with that filing. Transunion bumped off the lien record because the financial ruin extinguished the note component to the lien. The lien, although, will nonetheless connect to any genuine resources you could personal interior the county in which the lien replaced into recorded and any others into which it replaced into transcribed. The bureaus record independently. typically, even as a correction is made to in elementary words one bureau, that bureau will %. up the quicker maximum excellent merchandise back in following months from the different bureaus' comments. Your financial ruin is a controversy of public record. each and each and every time you request credit a glance for of the established public files will show that filing. it is the cost of financial ruin relief.

If you're in the middle of a bankruptcy proceeding, why would you dispute a bankruptcy? I think you may be confused.

Unless the bankruptcy isn't yours, then there's no point disputing it.

Yes it's true, legitimate bankruptcies cannot be legally removed from your credit report. That's one of the sacrifices you make in filing for bankruptcy.
