You're not alone. I gave up on Catholicism a loooong time ago. Fear Him, fear that, believe this Dogma and have Faith etc....

Gave me no answers and no guidance...then there's the questions I asked with no answers, like how come the Bible had to be edited by one man when it was supposed to be the Word of you know Who.... gave me no end of questions with never any answers except "Have Faith"....

Went over to Buddhism and the answers were all there for me, I found that I was a Buddhist all along without knowing the Noble Precepts and that was the reason for the questions, my answers were there not in Christianity.

There are cynics on this board but they do not bother me, if they were to question their own beliefs.....and let others alone without trying to hurt others feelings then I'd accept them as true human beings on their own path, but these cynics seem to just throw mud at others without thought....shame really.... hurting others for hurts sake....what a waste of time.......and energy....

This is all very personal of course, I don't expect or wish others to follow my example, but you're not alone in your question.

I am a reformed Catholic, I suppose. I went to a Catholic HS, made all the sacraments and such.

But now, I tend to reject rituals which I think are a major part of any practicing Catholic's life.

I don't know if I'm better or worse off, but it's just where I am.

By reformed Catholic, do you mean you have given up on silly god concepts or did you jump into some other manure pile of a religion to replace it? If you are a Catholic who has become an Atheist, you are pretty much alone. Catholic programming is so pervasive that few can make that leap of logic and reason. I only know one former Catholic who is now an Atheist and he was a Catholic priest.

I was raised a catholic, with all its rituals and garbage.
I always felt something was just not right.
I am a Christian now I believe in God and all the Bible teaches. I do not praise any man just the Lord...
