we just recently rescued this dog a small almost all black or dark grey pomeranian female. i am needing a name for her i need any suggestions, i also have a collie/cocker spaniel mix that is also black and her name is molly...

Ebony maybe if she's more black?

Name her Emma. That's my puppy's name. It also goes well with Molly. Other names could be Heidi, Alison, Dakota or Annie. Stick with a human name so it goes well with Molly. Also, you want something simple so it can learn it's name easily. I picked Emma 'cause it fits her 'cause she's so sweet and preety and it sounds good and is easy for her to understand. My old friend's Pomeranian's name was Precious but that reminds me of the dog from the movie, Silence of the Lambs. Good Luck with your new addition to your family and make sure she gets a great life.

I love the names Sadie, Gracie, Zoey, Isabelle or Belle or even Bella. I actually rescued 2 pom pups and named them Isabelle and Zoey...then found them each terrific homes, where they're spoiled and treated like queens. That was 4 years ago...and they're thriving!
Sometimes, they name themselves. When we got our Australian Shepherd puppy in August, we'd picked out her name before we'd gotten her. However, once I saw her, the name just didn't fit her...didn't feel right. She had several names before we finally settled on Gracie. It was so funny...she was quite clutzy and had tripped over the kiddie pool, and I commented, "just call me Grace" and it was like a light bulb went on over my head as well as my husband's - we looked at each other and said, "that's it, Gracie!"
