im scared to put the chemicals in the tree to keep it fresh cuz i dont want the kitty to drink it. what should i do?

don't put any chemicals in the tree water because your cats WILL drink it.....regular water will be fine for the tree. Just make sure to check the water level every day so it doesn't dry out.

I think those chemicals are just a scam, you really don't need them.
Just make sure that you recut the tree before putting it in the water. Also, make sure the water never runs out or the tree will reseal and won't properly take in any new water given to it.
Unless you're one of those weirdos who leaves the tree up until July, you don't need to worry about it dieing right away.

Best way to keep your tree fresh is use hot water. It melts the sap at the bottom of the tree, which opens the veins in the tree, letting it take more water in.

squirt the cat with a water bottle everytime it goes by the water.
it will quit going around it after getting wet
I think that tree water can be bad
