Many people use it for the energy boost, but I use it because it is the only thing that'll clear me up. I've tried all those other OTC's like "Sudafed" and "Dayquil". You name it, I've tried it. Nothing works besides Ephedrine.

There's no problem with coughing, the congestion is up in my sinuses. Sneezing, itchy/runny nose, pressure, etc.

If that's what works, then I think that's what you should take, presuming you have no contraindications for it such as high blood pressure. If you have a lot of problems with being congested, you might consider going for allergy testing. If allergies are the culprit, there are several good preventive medications out there like Flonase to keep the lining of your sinuses to swell in the first place.

Sudafed has an active ingredient that is chemically very similar to ephedrine, so I'm quite surprised that it doesn't work for you.

Have you tried guaifenisin (I'm not sure if I've spelled it quite right). It's an expectorant, so it might get things moving and draining.

There are also products with menthol, like Vicks VapoRub.
