It is leaking at the base of the distributor. I have tightened all the bolts around it but it continues to leak. Any tips, tricks, or ideas for me?

i own a repair shop, and you need to pull the distributor out of it ,and replace the gasket or o ring that's on the distributor,,some of those had o rings but that's what causes this to happen,,tightening it wont stop it though,,but that's the only way to stop it from leaking,,i used to own one of these,,good luck with it i hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.

Should be the o-ring at the bottom of the distributor. Pretty easy to fix.

Pull the distributer out, replace the 'O' ring on the shaft. Pull the oil pressure reliefe valve(s) also. Check the springs...make sure they are not broken. They are just behind the bottom pully tin. Big slotted screws.

You can replace the distributor's O-ring & then check that your crankcase breather clear. Good Luck

Dodge man is correct. If his fix doesn't stop it you had better check the crankcase ventilation system(ie. PCV valve). :-)=
