Yesterday, I was at the doctors, and I was asked if I wanted to have a flu shot....

So, I said sure....... BUT! I had a choice between the shot vaccine, or a mist.

I've never heard of a 'mist' but I chose it ((out of curiosity)).

Anyway, a nurse put a syringe up my nose and she shot out mist ((that I like....snorted up)) and she did the same for the other side.

That was my flu shot!!

Has anyone else had the 'mist'?

I received it yesterday. I wish we could receive all of our immunizations that way. The "dead" germ still enters our bodies and is as effective as the shot. Just think about it, that's how you receive the flu in the first place. Someone sneezes on you or you put your dirty hand to your mouth, nose, or eyes. Next thing you know, you're one sick puppy.

Yes. My daughter had a flu mist and she did not like it It created nasal irritation and she said she would rather have the traditional needle. I do not think there is any difference in effectiveness. In Maryland, the Flu mist is more expensive than the needle.

They gave that to my brother who's handicapped and he ended up interior the clinical institution. also a woman I artwork with were given it and it made her rather sick besides. i have not heard some thing good about the mist and in reality, Drs. are literally not meant to grant it to each and every person that has different diseases or immune issues. i ought to maintain on with the photos if I were you.

I haven't been given that option, I would love that. I don't like getting the shot. It's funny...when you give dogs kennel cough vaccine, they can get a shot with a needle or a squirt up the nose. Guess it's the same theory.
