There is a breeder who is trying to perfect cats that don't get any larger than the average kitten.

I love all cats. Big cats aren't ugly, that's silly. There is nothing more regal and gorgeous than a big old tom cat. Tiny cats can look inbred and their eyes tend to look crossed. Some cat breeds are bred to be small like the kind with the short legs that look really stupid (I think they're called Munchkins). I assume you just want a regular domestic short haired cat. Find someone with kittens whose parents are really small. Usually, a very tiny Mama cat will have tiny kittens. Pick the runt. Personality is really what counths though! I'd also rather have a kitty that's a cool color with cool markings and not care what size it is. I know some people like cats that stay tiny like kittens but it doesn't really matter.

In the UK /England they do breed a small cat- a dwarf. The head and body are a bit smaller but the legs are less than half the length of a normal cat. These cats do not have the jumping power of a normal cat. But the book isn't done on health problems or life length yet. They have a special name- but I'm having a senior moment.

The genetic cowed of DNA and RNA is different of a cat and a dog maybe the lab they wear using didn't have enaff spays to storage and monitor dogs and cats eat less unless the dog is a Chowawa
and besides gays wouldn't by miniature dogs at list the strait ones don't the demand for Chowawas is lower then for a German Shepard

there isn't so much variety among cat breeds. While some are smaller than others, most cats are 10 - 15 pounds. They are generally an animal that is the same size.

Dogs go from 4 to more than 200 pounds.

People have been breeding dogs for a long time, much longer than breeding cats, also more people are willing to pay big money for purebred/inbred dogs (sorry but there's really no difference between purebred and inbred). If you like little ones, go to the humane society and look for a petite adult cat.

maybe because it isn't as common for people to spend hundreds of dollars on a cat like they do on dogs. This is just a guess, and also domestic cats can be pretty small. My cat is only about 6 pounds and she is fully grown. Maybe breeders figure this is small enough
