Windows is better because it is cheaper and everything works on Windows. Did you know that 95% of Americans use Windows computers? It is true.

O boy, the ol' MAC vs. PC battle continues, eh? First of all, Windows is an operating system, not a computer. Mac is the computer, OS X is the operating system. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. Apple's are simple. They are straightforward and supposedly don't crash as often. They also supposedly don't get very many viruses. However, the majority of software applications are not available for Mac. Also you are limited with what you can do with a MAC compared to what you can do with a PC. For media such as audio and video, most people prefer MAC. Mac's are marketed towards non-computer people who just want things to be easy and who don't know the difference between a megabyte and a gigabyte. PC's are more for people who like to work with computers. So in conclusion, they are both good in their own ways. If you only want to use your computer for making music, videos, and graphics: get a mac. If you wan't to play games on your computer, have access to 9/10ths of the software available for all computers, get a PC. I have a PC and it's pretty good, but I have used Mac's for work and in school. I think they are both good.

I bet you'll get a lot of answers.
PCs and Windows are usually cheaper and are more popular. Because of that, there is more software and accessories available.
Macs, however have a nicer design, and the software and accessories for them will usually be of a better quality. Also, the operating system on Macs is better (more robust) than Windows, and being less popular, they are not as attractive to virus makers, so the risk for virus is lower.
Being said so, I use Windows, because of lower price and software availability.

Mac OSX is much better, and you can install Windows on their new computers along with the Mac OS, so you can still run everything.
The old mac computers were pretty slow, but the new Intel ones are far better.

Macs - more secure operating system, more features within the operating system, easier to use, and now with the Intel chips they will run Windows or the Mac operating system. Also, for what I want to use them for, they make more sense (video production) as they have "the" software for this purpose (Final Cut Pro and Shake).

ALTHOUGH I HAVE WINDOWS I HAVE FOUND THAT MAC WOULD BE THE BEST TO HAVE. THAT SYSTEM HAS LESS PROBLEMS, LESS VIRUSES BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE HAVE WINDOWS SO THE HACKERS GO WHERE THEY CAN DO THE MOST DAMAGE WHICH IS TOTAL WRONG. THAT'S WHERE YOU NEED A GOOD VIRUS AND SPAM PROGRAM TO PROTECT YOUR COMPUTER NO MATTER WHETHER YOU HAVE WINDOWS OR MAC.

I use both, and like them equally. Even though i tend to use the Mac a little more. It's just a matter of finding something that fits your needs.
