"Most" Christians? I don't know.
But as a Christian, I hate it. Jesus was a pacifist.

The question itself is a generalization. However, here is what I think. Most Christians (at least that we hear about) are in Churches that are part of the religious right (RR from now on). The RR is very republican and pro Bush and war. Since most people in the RR dont think and just do what they are told, they support this war like a bunch of puppets.

Then you have true Christianity and people who think and follow Christ. His teachings are clearly Pacifist. (read Matthew 5-7).

As a former RR person and current follower of Christ, I am now also a pacifist.

So heres the short answer, most Christians seem to think this war is justified becase W said so. However, Christ would probably be out there protesting it if he were physcially here now...

If you are a Christian or interested in it and want to find people who are not like the RR, you should check and see if there is an Emergent group in your area. Emergents in general lean toward pacifism and are not preachy.

I am a Christian. The war in Iraq is very sad - so much loss of life. So many hurt. Too many 'players' with their own agendas. Saddam Hussein was a very bad man. He murdered so many people. The saddest part of the war is that the people that were supposed to be delivered from this mini-Hitler are in worse shape than before. Eliminating him from power left a void that many are trying to fill. I'm not sure there are any solutions that will satisfy everyone - nor are they quickly coming.

I know that if we weren't fighting this war over there, it would be fought over here. 9/11 was only a taste of what war here would be like. To this day we are feeling the shock waves from that unforgetable day that took the lives of so many unsuspecting people.

I use that day and a good example of why everyone should be right with God and accept His son Jesus as their personal Savior, because we do not know what is in store for us tomorrow. We are to be ready at any given moment.

I personally do not understand why we are at war to this day. It started out being over the twin towers, then its' about oil or trying to restore peace for those people there. Or even to stop terrorism. We are fighting in a country that has never had peace and never will have it according to the word of God.

Abrahams son that was not his wife's child was blessed by God at the request of Abraham. But it came with a price of his son's lineage being of a great nation that will never see peace and will always be at war.

All this comes from Abraham wanting God to bless his son that did not belong to his wife, but to her maiden.

I cannot speak for Most, BUT I can speak for Myself!

It is my personal belief as a Born Again Christian.....

(2Timothy 2:1-to-5) Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
(2Ti 2:2) And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
(2Ti 2:3) Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
(2Ti 2:4) No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
(2Ti 2:5) And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

Now if you are speaking about the War in Iraq, and the Latest Report by Non-Military Panel, with Mr. Baker, PERHAPS you should look at WW-2 History? We are soon going to Repeat IT!

One cannot make Con sessions with Terrorists! Also take a look at the Otomon Empire, and why and how it was stopped in Yugoslavia ?

IN RetroSpect: This problem is Two FOLD. When during the 70's when American Persons were held Captive in IRAN, for 444 days, Jimmy Carter, SHOULD HAVE given them a 72-Hour warning: LET OUR PEOPLE GO, or we will deliver a Necular Bomb on Terran Iran.

WE would have sent a Message to the WORLD! You cannot mess with Americicans, when you have Agreed to Comply with the Geniva Convention, Point of Law!

Most of the World has TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF AMERICA, and historically IS HAS BEEN SO!

BUT DON'T WORRY, God will work this all out, EVEN OUR MISTAKES AS A NATION, especially after WE CLAIM = TO BE ONE NATION UNDER GOD, after we have Murdered 25-Million Babies!

Thanks, RR

As for removing Saddam Hussein and from power and helping Iraq become a democratic state and freeing their people from oppression I was/am strongly in favor of.

As for the US acting as a policing force to aide another country I do not agree with, that should be the responsibility of the Iraqis. We should simply aide them in supplies and training but not men.

I agree with the war, I think that we should stop fighting the political war in Washington and let our troops actually make desicions rather than guys in stuffed suits in the DOD.

I am a Christian, and I don't like war. I understand however, that sometimes it is necessary. I support the troops and what they are doing.

For me, i feel bad about all the suffering on both sides. However as Jesus put it, be no part of the world, Christians are under Jesus as our king, so we are citizens of his kingdom not any particular nation on earth, since especially Satan is the god of this world which is why he (Satan) tempted Jesus with the kingdoms of this world. So its neutrality for me.
