Bonny Doon NV Framboise Infusion of Raspberries This is a delightful sweet wine in a half-size bottle that is the norm for dessert wines. It’s been awarded 90 points from Wine Spectator and 92 from Wine Enthusiast. Enjoy the captivating raspberry aroma and flavor…this wine is a dessert by itself! ($12.99)

A couple things to consider:

Dessert wines are definitely at the top of the list. The lower the alcohol content in a wine, the sweeter it tends to be [not always the case, but a decent rule of thumb]. Try these:

1. Late Harvest Wines
These generally tend to be the most affordable. Check out Bonny Doon's muscat.
2. Ice Wines
Inniskillin
Renwood Amador
3. Sauterns
Generally regarded as the best wines in the world and VERY expensive, but very very good. The grapes actually rot on the vine and it makes for a delicious wine.
4. Moscato
Nivole by Michele Chiarlo [Piedmont]
Rosa Regale [Piedmont]
5. Non dry Riesling
German Rieslings are excellent but just make sure it isn't dry!
6. Beringer White Zin
Actually don't even bother with this one.

Wines are classified by something called a sugarcode, often abbreviated at SC. If you ask at the store you'll be able to find out the SC of each wine available. The higher the code, the sweet the wine. For example, a typical Merlot might be a SC-0, while a typical Icewine might be SC-20.

Hope this helps! Good luck.

It is not a sweet wine but it is close. Try Sangria. I dont know much but I do know that it comes from spain and they cut up fruit and put it in the wine. This makes it sweet. There is an import here called "real Sangria" it is in a large long neck bottel with an orange label. Hope I helped as an alternative...

Try any desert wine - they are all pretty sweet. A lighter sweet wine is called Obsession - tastes like a fuzzy nipple.

Well , if you want a sweet wine, I would suggest a Oporto (Portuges) , To me it´s a very good one , or a Malaga Virgen (spanish) is cheaper or a Moscatel.....

Try a tawny port or a cream sherry. The older the tawny is the better it will be.
