why is the church so against homosexuality when some preists are paedophiles or is that different?

seriously. i have a 60 year old book about the history of literature that says it wasnt uncommon for preists to have an understudy with whom they where sexually involved

this practice was acceptable amongst clergymen and was not uncommon

pedifiles are different from homosexuality. Priests are not the basis for the chrtistian faith and if they make mistakes it has nothing to do with the church it is their own problem. If a priest does something like that he is not representing God or the church!

Because the divine pattern, is male/female/child - active/reflective&passive two active forces can't make an third force not physically or mentally. All phenomema is by reason of the male/female interaction, positive and negative interacting creating the product. The problem is Christianity is no longer about enlightenment and they probably have no idea about the divine pattern.

To be honest, according to the bible, since nothing happens outside of Gods will, God makes people gay. so I don't understand the whole Christian mindset at all, but what I do understand is why it is rejected in the bible.

THE MAN WHO BUILT THE TITANIC: After the construction of the Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said: "Not even God can sink it" The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic.

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus. Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.

When you said "priest" that was your answer- they are not walking in the truth. Catholocism does not hold to the truth of God's word. So of course they are going to end up in sin and going off the narrow path and onto the wide path---any type of relegion without Jesus Christ as the center is like a sweater that has one thread loose- once it is pulled the whole sweater comes apart.

Sex is a huge drive, is it not? I suppose priests have a really hard time resisting. They are supposedly celibate, and I can only imagine that is difficult for any man to live by for his entire life. It seems to go against human nature. I think some of them just crack.

I'm pretty sure that the church itself is against pedophilia. People are imperfect, and therefore, the actions of people don't always reflect the teachings of their churches. But don't blame the church or its teachings if a person doesn't live them right.

A sin is a sin....regardless of who commits it! The church condems sin but not the sinner. We who make up the church are not perfect sinless creatures and some are prone to sin but Thank God, there is mercy and forgiveness for all who truly repent and the church is called "Holy", not because of any merits of any specific invididuals, but because of Jesus who merits all honor and glory and is the head of His church here on earth. Through Him, we are members of His holy church, sinful as we are, and He offers us salvation, forgiveness and His infinite mercy.

Those priests were not of God if they were defiling themselves in a homosexual act. What is accpetable by man is of satan, What is acceptable by God is of God.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
