There are so many different versions
The church hid the Bible and did not let the lay man read it for centuries
There are hundreds of gospels, yet only 4 made the final cut
There are many contradictions in the Bible

'Surely, they have disbelieved who say: "Allah is the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary)." But the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: "O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers) there are no helpers.' (Qur'an 5:72)

'Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity)." But there is no ilah (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilah (God -Allah). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall the disbelievers among them.' (Qur'an 5:73)

If you were to read the different versions you will see that the different versions are all saying the same things. They are only using slightly difference words or the order of the words may be structured differently. So the principles remained the same. You will also note that the Bible is translated into every language in the world. And the Bible inspires people in every language. On the other hand the Qur'an is only in Arabic. This is because it is only for people who speak Arabic. I have read an English translation of the Qur'an and found it to be without a single verse of inspiration. It reads like it was written by an illiterate old poet speaking impromptu.

The Bible was never "hid for centuries". It was always the most read book in any age. Only four gospels were included in the Bible because the early Christians took great care to include only those writtings which had apostolic origins. There are no contradictions of any substance in the Bible.

Obviously you do not understand the process of translating the Scriptures into various languages. Yes, there are different translation to accomodate for the times that we live i.e, to use a form of language that is more readily understood by the common people in any given culture. However, translations can still be compared to the original Greek or Hebrew languages for accuracy and genuineness. It is not like a translation made today is just an updated version of a translation made last year. We are talking about translations from the original languages.

Yes, the Catholic church did hide the Scriptures from people during the Dark Ages to keep them in darkness. This does not change the original writings. No one went back and changed the Scriptures or would have been able to since there are thousands of copies.

I know people love to throw out the contraditions argument to sound like they have a open and shut case. However, even Christians will agree that there are scribal errors such as transcibe a number wrong from one story to another, but again this does not negate the inspiration of the original writings.

Just because most people were illiterate is no reason to accuse the Church of HIDING the Bible. It was simply uncommon before the printing press was invented. Those 'many gospels' had major problems, either with continuity or age, and so couldn't be authentic. Most of the 'contradictions' are merely misunderstandings. And typo's don't count as 'mistakes'.
There are basically TWO versions of the Bible, one of which simply includes six or seven additional Books. In fact, the Koran ALSO had multiple versions, but that was 'dealt' with by 'Uthman. And Islam insists that it's peaceful!!! LOL.

Textual Variants of the Qur'an
Most Muslims claim that the text of the Qur'an is identical to that received by Muhammad. This is a convenient thing to believe, but it is not the truth. There is overwhelming evidence for this:

1. Evidence of Change Before 'Uthman
Why did 'Uthman feel the need to destroy other copies of the Qur'an, unless they contained variants? Why did Ibn Ma'sud refuse to hand over his copy for destruction? How do we know that 'Uthman's copy was better than any of the others?

* Muslims: Who was 'Uthman? Who was Ibn Ma'sud? Why couldn't these
two muslims agree about the Qur'an?

* Why would 'Uthman want to destroy copies of the Qur'an?

* Who was Al-Hajjaj? What is "Jam' Al-Qu'ran"?

I firmly beleive that God was guiding the men in the Council of Nicea where they affirmined the Christian fath and chose which books chould go into the bible. And how can you say the Bible is wrong by quopting the Qur'an? I can say the Qur'an is wrong by quoting the Bible. Somebody else can quote anything else to say the Bible is wrong. You have got to learn that the Bible is God's only word, but the people who don't beleive that will quote whatever they beleive to try to disprove the Bible. There aren't any contradictions to the Bible, there may be in the Qur'an but the Bible contradicts the Qur'an also.

I don't know whether bible is corrupted or not, or if there are any contradictions to it. I have never read it, although I have read Qur'an (actually, two SLIGHTLY different versions ).
However, IF there ARE any corruptions with both the Books, we cannot possibly point them out, as both are considered Holy Books, regardless the religion. As a human being, I can say ANYTHING about them, without knowing the truth myself. NO ONE knows the truth. These Books had been corrupted (if so) before we, or even our forefathers were born. We consider what we see as the truth, and there is nothing else we can do about it.
So, we cannot blame other religions or Books for being corrupted, while we, ourselves are.

I don't need to read all your statements to see where you are coming from, Yes there has been many translation, But God words, NEVER FAILS.Do you know why there are so many translations, It is Because not everyone has the HOLY GHOST to show them the Truth, The Bible says when The HOLY Ghost is come he will guide us into all tuths, & that words Truths, Does not mant different ideals aboiut the same subject, But that as a Young Christians grows in the Lord, Then his faith & Truth will also grow. & there is no Trinity whatsoever, The Apostles of Old did not teach it, so why should we teach it after it was brought in by the Catholic Church, In around 312 to 325 AD.

As a Bisexual Christian who had a stable Bible instructor tutor me the previous testomony, i would not do away with it ever! the subject isn't the previous testomony, it relatively is those people who do no longer comprehend it, fail to work out the ingredient of it, and who attempt to word it against people while it would not belong in that place. So the comparable people who contort the previous testomony are going to contort the recent testomony, and that i'm getting it all of the time from them. you already know, the a million Corinthians 6:9-10 stuff they save handing me. The word Unrighteous or depraved is in that verse, yet they spill good over it like it does no longer mean something to them! so as that they do the comparable element to the recent testomony, so owing to God he makes me to stand regardless.

Number one, your right, there are many different versions of the BIble, there are versions in chinese japanese, bangle, russian,English and arabic and many others. there are few who can say they dont have the BIble written thier own language. But, every version is taken from the originals, found in the middle east. the dead sea scrols contain the old testament and new testament text that were written neary 3,000 years ago. because we have the these original text, we know that there was nothing "hidden" by the church. ever item in the Bible we have today has been corraborated with the originals and found by archeologist to be accurate. #2 your right, there are seeming contradictions in the Bible, but its cause is of our own making, let me illustrate for a moment. Im going to tell you sometthing about my father that "seem's contradictory". My father was a wonderful family man, he was caring. However my father often hit me, one time he shot my Dog, and in another instance he refused my mother the right to go to the grociery store. heres the missing information. my father often spanked me, because when I would go tward the road into on coming traffic, i ws putting myself in danger, he cared enough to chastise me because he loved me. my father once shot my Dog, because it got rabies and was threatening to bite any one who walked pass my house. My father refused to let my mother go to the grociery store, because their was an armed robber loose, and he insisted it would be safer for them to g together. you see, it is often a lack of understandng that causes contradictions, the BIbles word is innerratn from beggining to end, al you have to do is investigate the scientififc facts in the BIble ad the thousands of fufilled prophecies. Many use rejection of the BIble as an excuse to reject the Gospel, but you must realize that the bush you hide behind is very small.
let me explain by asking you a few questions............

Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything--the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and we’ve only looked at three of the Ten Commandments. The Bible also say's "he who hates his brother is a murderer.' have you ever hated someone? if you have done these or broken any f the Commandments, by your own admission your a lying thieving blasphemous adulterer at heart. surah10: 54 in your quran says "Every soul that has sinned, if it possesed all that is on earth, would fain give it in ransome." in other words, if you possesed the whole world and gave it to God as a sacrifice for your sins, it wouldnt be enough to provide atonement. Imagine if a criminal is facing a 50,000 dollar fine. he is penniless, so he sincerely tells the Judge that he is sorry for for a crime and vows to never do it again. The Judge wont simply goon the basis of his sorrow, or his vow never to commit the crime again. of course, he should be sorry fo what he has done, and of course he shouldnt break the Law again. The Judge will, However let him/her go if someone pays the fine for him. Moses gave instructions for the isrealites to to shed the blood of a spotless lamb to provide temporary atonement for their sin. Jesus was the Lamb that God provided to make atonement for your sins. you Broke the Law, and Jesus paid your fine. If you will Repent (turn from sin) and place your faith and trust in Jesus, God will forgive you of your sins and grant you everlasting life on the basis of Jesus's death and ressurection. The uniqness of Jesus is his statement thathe has the power on earth to forgive sins (matthew 9:2-6). No ther religious leader has made this claim. Buddha, mohhamed, confuscious, these are only men, thier tombs are still filled ith the bones of these leaders, but you can go to Jesus tomb, and its empty, examine Jesus's claims and see that Jesus and Jesus only can provide peace with God, this is why he said "I am the way the truth and the life, no man comes untop the father but by me. reject this if you may, but you will stand before a Holy and powerful God who has seen every though word and deed, and will by no means let you off the hook.
God Bless

Any God that actually thinks torture is an acceptable responce to those who do not like you or do not believe in you is not worth admiration or love!

Unless you think evil behavior should be praised!

If you look at all of the manuscripts, they mostly say the same thing, as do most versions of the Bible. And the Bible doesn't contradict itself.
