I have checked on google and other search engines for what seemed like forever, and I still can't find what makes a fruit conduct electricity and why it conducts electricity. If any of you know or know of any books or websites, I could really use the help!

Yes, the answer is the lemon, which is a citrus fruit and conducts electricity better. An amazing fact that not many people know is that potatoes actually conduct electricity better than any citrus fruit.

Most fruit has some form of acid in it (citric or tannic usually). You can turn it in to a lead / acid cell.
